Wow where do I start! 1930 Boutique Hotel was an absolute highlight on the Camino Frances. Located in Arzua, which is in the last 50km of the journey into Santiago, this hotel was an absolute treat in our final nights. It's rated 9.8 on booking.com and you can see why!
1930 Boutique Hotel is a family run operation with a high attention to detail. The rooms were spacious and had all the luxurious amenities you could wish for. As you can see from the images below, the hotel lobby and room were incredibly decorated. Despite the photo our room was one of the largest we had on the Camino with large windows that opened for fresh air and sunlight.
In addition, at the end of the day, laying by the pool in the outdoor gardens was absolute bliss. The water was a little chilly, however it was warm enough for a swim. We were so surprised with how large the outdoor space was, it felt like your own oasis! It was such a tranquil space with views to the mountains and the perfect way to relax after a hot day on the Camino.
Whilst we didn't have dinner in the hotel, the family also runs a nearby restaurant called Casa Nene. It's extremely popular and only very small, so you'll either need to book in advance or go and book as soon as you arrive in town. We booked as soon as we arrived in town and I think we got the last table, which we were so thankful for! We had an absolutely stunning dinner and enjoyed some beautiful wine. The beef cheek (third from the right) was one of the best we have ever eaten in our life.
Breakfast the next morning was served upstairs in the hotel. A stunning selection of savoury as well as sweets, lovely coffee, juice etc. I devoured these too quickly to take any photos, but rest assured it was top quality and the service was excellent.
